The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. has scheduled a three-hour power interruption in Kagman on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011 from 5am to 8am.

Areas that will be affected cover Feeder 4 (second partial), from the intersection of Kagman Mobil gas station to the Kagman homesteads.

The purpose of this interruption is to allow Kimco Inc. linemen to complete the installation of conductors and hardware on the electric distribution system that was relocated for the Cross Island Isa Road Phase 2 Expansion Project. This will finalize this phase of the project.

Because of the scale of the work that will be performed, commuters are asked to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the affected areas.

CUC apologizes for any inconvenience this scheduled power interruption may impose on the community and will continue to work diligently to minimize future interruptions. (CUC)
