Little Miss Pusong Pinoy to highlight UFO Valentine event
The United Filipino Association will once again hold its signature Valentine’s Day event with the staging of yet another Pusong Pinoy festivity on Feb. 16 at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe.
UFO president Annamae Adaza said the celebration’s centerpiece will be the Little Miss Pusong Pinoy 2013 pageant.
“[At] every UFO event, we try to give different entertainment to the CNMI community, we [want] people from all walks of life to get involved with our activities. Like last February we had the Miss Pusong Pinoy for teenagers, then for the month of June during the Pistang Pinoy we had the Super Model for Gays, then for this month of December for Paskong Pinoy we had the That’s My Tomboy, and now it’s about time to give a chance to young kids who will vie for the title of Little Miss Pusong Pinoy 2013,” she said.
To this end, UFO is looking for contestants with ages ranging from 6 to 9 to compete in the pageant. They will be competing for Best in Talent, Best in Evening Gown, question-and-answer portion, along some special categories like Darling of the Crowd, Star of the Night, Miss Friendship, and Miss Photogenic.
Winners will receive cash prizes of $800 for first place, $500 for second, $300 for third, and $100 for fourth place.
The Top 4 will also get gift packs, certificates of participation, and a sash and a bouquet of flowers, while non-winners will receive consolation cash prizes, gift packs, and certificates of participation.
Application forms for the Little Miss Pusong Pinoy 2013 will be available soon and UFO will be requiring a copy of participants’ birth certificates.
To register, call or text Adaza at 483-5237, UFO secretary Mario Mayuga at 285-1021, or event director/coordinator Ernie Molina at 789-8212.
