Nominees for 2016 Businesswoman of the Year out

MAITE, Guam—First Hawaiian Bank and Guam Business Magazine are pleased to announce the nominees for the 2016 Businesswoman of the Year Maga’håga award.

• Wendi S. Herring, general manager, Asia Pacific Hotels Inc., which does business as Kanoa Resort Saipan

• Dr. Jitka Lom, president and medical director, ExpressCare Health and Skin Center Inc.

• Polly D. Masga, general manager, Marianas Medical Center

• Donna R. Muña Quinata, senior vice president, Guam AutoSpot

• Sophia Chu Wigsten, general manager, Hyatt Regency Guam

The Maga’håga award will be presented to one winner at the Businesswoman of the Year Gala on Saturday, April 30 at the Hyatt Regency Guam in conjunction with the release of the Guam Business Magazine September–October issue, which will feature a commissioned photo of the recipient on its cover.

In its 11th year, the award program recognizes businesswomen in Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands who have made significant contributions to their industries and have demonstrated a strong commitment to their community.

Through proceeds from the gala, the program also funds scholarships for students pursuing business and related degrees at the University of Guam, Guam Community College and Northern Marianas College.
