One shot dead in San Vicente

Twenty-four year old Joaquin dela Cruz was lying face up and dead right in the middle of the dirt road leading to the Stanford Hotel in San Vicente Tuesday night.

He was shot in the face and the Department of Public Safety identified two suspects, Nestor Taitano and George Taitano, who are both at large.

According to preliminary police investigation, dela Cruz arrived at the Manglona’s residence in San Vicente accompanied by two men. The group was reportedly looking for the wife of one of his companion. An argument ensued and the victim was shot.

In a media release, the DPS did not name the gunman. It received the call past 10 p.m. Tuesday regarding an incident which happened at Manglona’s house in San Vicente.

Police officers responding to the call saw the victim lying in the middle of the street.
