The Commonwealth Council for Arts and Culture, with assistance from the Marianas Visitor’s Authority, will be hosting the “Marianas’ Traditional Dance Festival” on June 12, 1999 at Kilili Beach Park.

The Festival will highlight the best of Chamorro and Carolinian dance and serves as one of the events slated for the Visit the Marianas ’99 campaign of MVA.

The Council is soliciting designs for the Festival poster. Interested artists are asked to submit rough colored sketches of their designs to the Arts Council office by 4:30 p.m., May 17, 1999.

The Council will select a design on May 18 and the artist must complete the finished work by May 21, 1999. The artist will receive an honorarium of $100.00 and copies of the printed poster.

The poster will be printed in spot color and designs may not exceed the use of four colors.

For further information about poster design requirements, you may contact Cindy Macaranas or Robert Hunter at the Arts Council with telephone numbers 322-9982 or 322-9983. The Arts Council office is located next to the Post Office and the CNMI Gallery on Capital Hill.
