See you in court

I was personally attacked by Senator Ramon Guerrero in yesterday’s newspapers and I want to respond personally. Senator, you had lies published only to try and hurt me and my family. You knew that my ex-wife’s affidavits was a desperate attempt to find lawyer (she has had five different attorneys handling our divorce) and to discredit me. You knew that the matter had been thoroughly investigated and that the AG’s office found the allegations baseless. Yet, you in your own desperate attempts to make headlines, put these lies into print. These are “dirty tricks” that give politicians bad image with people.

I am asking the Attorney General’s Office to release the file on their investigation. It should be unnecessary for someone who has already been cleared of wrongdoing to have to go through the process again, but if that’s what it takes, I say go ahead and take a look.

And why don’t you talk to OPA too? OPA has tracked the 80MW procurement since 1998 and has never made any findings of wrongdoing.

I applaud the Saipan Tribune for maintaining standards of the profession and refusing to repeat allegations it knew were untrue.

In closing, I also want to point out that a person who is defamed or libeled has rights and I intend to pursue my rights to the fullest extent of the law. To those who have stepped over the line of decency and the law, I will see you in court.
