Korean assaulted while singing

A Korean may have failed to sing from the heart or he may have overdone his singing, but his performance inside a karaoke bar in a Fina Sisu hotel definitely irked another customer Tuesday midnight.

Police said 44-year-old Kwon Woo Kim was attacked by another Korean while the victim was singing inside the Reno Super Club at the Riviera Hotel in Fina Sisu.

Department of Public Safety records showed Soon Hong Kim, 43, kicked the victim’s buttocks while he was at the middle of a song number inside the karaoke bar.

Mr. Kwon was with a family member when the incident happened. Police did not say whether the victim’s companion had been hit by the suspect or not.

Investigators are still establishing the motive behind the attack. Mr. Song has been placed under arrest for disturbing the peace and assault and battery.

Teener nabbed for shoplifting

Public Safety investigators arrested a 17-year-old boy for allegedly stealing a shirt worth $56 at Price Costco Tuesday morning, the police said yesterday.

Initial investigations disclosed the teener was held by a Price Costco employee for allegedly taking a Fubu jersey from the establishment without the intent to pay.

Police report said the employee became suspicious when he saw the teenaged boy fixing his shirt near the stomach inside the store. The employee approached the suspect outside Price Costco and discovered the shirt tucked in the boy’s pants.
