The Hotel Association of Northern Mariana Islands has announced the completion of their newly renovated website, which can be accessed at www.marianashotels.org.

“One of the goals of the association is to promote the CNMI’s hotel and tourism industry,” said Ronald D. Sablan, HANMI president. “We believe this project helps by providing more information about our destination and linking customers directly into our hotels.”

The HANMI president is excited about the site’s potential, as some HANMI members have already started to receive inquiries over the Internet.

From the HANMI site, a consumer can review a list of facilities at each hotel property and get an overview of the Association’s Code of Standards. For business viewers, information can be found about hotel association members, statistics and tourism trends, as well as position papers and press releases from HANMI.

Ron Smith of Sunset Advertising Group did the majority of programming and design work for the site. He said one of its best features is its functionality. “We made extensive use of framers, which allows users to navigate easily among myriad of options,” he said.

“It’s streamlined, so you don’t have to wait long to download and view the pages,” he added.

Founded in 1983, HANMI is a professional organization made up of 19 leading hotels representing over 3,400 rooms in the CNMI. The purpose of the association is to support and encourage cooperation among member hotels by providing a forum for sharing ideas on issues of common concern.
