Hyatt names employees of the 1Q
Hyatt Regency Saipan recognizes hard working employees for the first quarter of 2000. Individuals are nominated each month and then voted on by the Executive Committee of the hotel wherein they select the best candidate.
Hyatt congratulates the following employees for a job well done:
January 2000
Olikong Tkel, Storeroom Clerk
Olikong Tkel has been employed at Hyatt Regency Saipan since May 1996. Olikong’s first position in the hotel was a Steward before he was transferred to the Materials Department where he is now a storeroom clerk.
Olikong has been a team player in the department for almost four years now. He is very dependable, reports to work on time and is always willing to assist when additional help is needed in the department. Although he is a very quiet individual, Olikong always portrays a positive attitude and wears a friendly smile.
February 2000
Brent Fukuichi, Steward
Brent Fukuichi started his employment with Hyatt Regency Saipan in December 1997 as a kitchen department steward. He is currently assigned to provide stewarding functions for both the Chinese Restaurant and Gilligan’s Cultural Show.
Brent ensures both restaurants run smoothly. He definitely gets the job done in a very efficient and professional manner.
March 2000
William Cepeda, Cook – Staff Restaurant
William Cepeda joined Hyatt Regency Saipan on May 1998. During his first year and four months of employment William was assigned as a kitchen department steward. Being a fast learner and a very reliable employee in the kitchen, William was became a Cook and transferred to the Staff Restaurant beginning September 1999.
William possesses a positive attitude and is always willing to learn new trends in his department. Being very punctual and energetic, he takes charge of the staff cafeteria when the chef is on leave.
Leader of the Quarter
Ron Hansen, Carpenter/Painter Supervisor
Hyatt also recognizes its management team and would like to congratulate the hotel’s First Quarter 2000 winner, Ron Hansen, Supervisor in the Engineering Department. Ron joined Hyatt Regency Saipan in September 1994 as a carpenter then promoted to a supervisor.
Ron is a very hard working individual who completes all projects assigned to him. He also assists in the training of shift technicians and pays close attention to our guests needs when dealing with room fixtures and utilities. Having a positive attitude, Ron enhances the department’s moral, efficiency and also motivates the employees. He is fair and consistent in implementing company policy and procedures, especially when it comes to the department’s operational guidelines and disciplinary actions.
With Ron’s aggressive approach in pursuing the department’s objectives, he is recognized as a team leader for the Engineering Department and considered a great asset to the hotel.
