22 and Under Basketball League (Game Results 6/3/00)
The BANMI 22 & Under Basketball League ended its first round of action last Saturday night at the Ada Gym. Team Fanihi and San Vicente Sunrisers are both tied with a 2-1 record while San Antonio Sixers and Kagman Cougars are also tied at 1-2.
In the first game, the Cougars played the spoilers role as they handed Fanihi their first loss of the season, 83-79. Ed Arriola had a good game with 24 points followed by teammates Gyles Ruluked with 14 points and Jerry Diaz with 11 points.
Dennis Camacho led Fanihi with 28 points, Ponce Rasa had 17 points and Pat Guerrero with 16 points in a losing cause.
Cougars was ahead at halftime with 44-34.
In the second game, San Vicente Sunrisers defeated San Antonio Sixers with its first five players scoring double digits.. Jeremy Sablan was the highest pointer with 15 points, Jason Fransworth and Joshua with 14 points apiece.
Sixers had 30 points from Dave Sablan, 13 from Shane Villanueva and 8 points apiece from Memo Eliaisar and Jason Sablan in a losing cause.
Sunrisers was ahead at halftime with 52-32.
