With the intention of promoting partnerships and the commitment to increase its contribution in the local community, Northern Marianas College is actively participating in this year’s Liberation Day festivities.

The Liberation Festivities is one of the biggest events the CNMI celebrates, and this year NMC is sponsoring one of its students, Raelene DLG. Camacho, to be its 2000 Liberation Day Queen candidate.

To ensure the College’s success in this community event, NMC will be having a Summer Bash Fund Raiser this Saturday, June 17th, at the Pacific Gardenia Hotel’s Sunset Bar & Grill.

This special musical extravaganza will feature The Blocks (courtesy of Hyatt Regency Saipan), Kool Change Band (houseband of Pacific Gardenia Hotel), Pacific Wave (winners of the most recent Battle-of-the-Bands), and the ever-popular, Colonel Alexandro Sablan.

Admission fee for this Summer Bash Fund Raiser is only $10.00 per person and also provides people the opportunity to win a door prize. The fun and excitement is slated to start at 7:00 p. m.

In addition to providing a educational and training programs, NMC has been proactive in helping the CNMI community by encouraging its Team NMC Volunteers to assist in local events and other activities sponsored by non-profit organizations.

Team NMC will like to remind everyone that since Sunday, June 18th, is Father’s Day, attending this Summer Bash event will be a nice way to celebrate the occasion and also help raise money for a good cause.
