It was intended to be an evening of songs and dances. And it sure was.

Explosive Filipino band Blocks 2000 and popular Guam-based all-female group Blame Adam sent Saipan party animals grooving all-night at the dance floor of the island’s entertainment capital, Hyatt Regency’s Gilligan’s, in a Friday evening of wholesome fun and good music.

Music enthusiasts, disco buddies and those who were merely looking for a nice Friday night gimmick trooped the Gilligan’s Friday, and then again on Saturday, for a taste of rockin’ and rollin’, the Blocks 2000 and the Blame Adam way.

Hyatt’s in-house band, Blocks 2000 is a group of six young talents from the Philippines’ southern provinces of Cagayan de Oro and Davao, whose versatile and energetic performances have brought them to gigs around the country and Southeast Asia.

The group has been performing professionally for the past eight years. The Blocks’ live performances have filled up venues at various five-star hotels in both in the Philippines and major countries in Asia.

Blame Adam is an assembly of musically-gifted young career women from Guam who banded together to release their deep passion for music in full-packed performances both in Guam and Saipan. The group performs only after office hours since each member has her own respective corporate career.

Since the group’s third comeback on Saipan earlier last month, Blocks 2000 never failed to draw a big crowd in each performance at the Gilligan’s from Tuesday to Sunday, while Blame Adam has consistently filled each venue whenever the group is on the island for a concert.

Together, versatile performances by Blocks 2000 and Blame Adam sent shocks of waves to the huge crowd that showed up at the Gilligan’s last Friday and Saturday.
