New full-time doctor at CHC

Dr. Carole Fenton, a US Board-certified emergency physician began full-time duty in the CHC’s Emergency Room this week.

Dr. Fenton started her career in nursing, however, she later changed directions and entered medical school and graduated from the University of New York (Buffalo) Medical School in 1995. She completed her emergency medicine residency at the University of Buffalo Medical-Dental Consortium in 1998.

Dr. Fenton has been a staff physician at the Mercy Hospital of Buffalo and most recently she was a clinical instructor and staff emergentologist at the Buffalo General Hospital, Buffalo, New York.

She has special credentials in Emergency Ultrasound and Telemedicine. She also has special interests in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine.

The Emergency Department now returns to full physician staffing, with two emergency doctors available every evening and all day on weekends. CHC hopes to keep waiting times during these peak times to a minimum.
