The Issue: Hyatt Regency’s initiative on an after school program for young people here.

Our View: Hyatt’s grand sense of community deserves the accolades of one and all.

Most innovations that serves the interest of any community never ever originates from government. It almost always begins in the private sector.

Reason? It is more adept at gauging the pulse of the community on matters where it can make a difference in positive ways. Such proactive attitude is the exact undertaking Hyatt Regency has taken by the horn to help young pupils after school.

It goes to illustrate what it could do to positively funnel the energies of young people when they exit their regular classrooms, daily. It’s an undertaking that is monumental in itself, an investment in our community. the benefit of which we would reap with humility and appreciation over the long haul.

Hyatt Regency’s sense of proactivity would percolate down to recipients of its After School Program. It would inculcate in the young minds of participants the benefits of extending a hand to someone in need of guidance or help with school work. These recipients will someday return in the future to give back generously to other children for they appreciate the intercession of proactive members of the business community, Hyatt Regency, in particular, for carving brighter tomorrow for them.

Imagine the net positive effect upon young people here if others follow suit providing venues where pupils can best harness their energies in positive ways. In less than two to five years, we can almost guarantee a drop in juvenile delinquency rates, replaced by a proactive attitude of young minds who have benefited as recipients of constructive after school activities.

We owe it to our children and our accolades to Hyatt Regency for taking the lead in this program. Si Yuus Maase`!
