SSC hosts swimming championships

The Saipan Swim Club and Public School System will host the 7th ALL SCHOOLS S SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS on Saturday morning, November 11, 2000 at the Kan Pacific Swimming pool.
Any school age students are welcome to participate and schools should now be organizing their teams. There will be three divisions Elementary School 12 years and under, Junior High School 14 years and under, and High School 18 years and under.
The deadline for entries will be November 6 at 4:00 p.m. to Bill Sakovich at the Ada or Mike Villagomez at Kagman Elementary. Entries should include the students name, ages, birth dates and events to be swum.
Swimmers with disabilities are also encouraged to swim. Swimmers are only allowed to swim two individuals events and one relay. Awards will be given to the top six in each event in each division with perpetual trophies to the winning schools.
A Practice meet will be held on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 9:00 a.m. with limited events available, such as 50m or 100m of each of the four strokes.
The events to take place will be a mixed 4 x 50m Medley Relay and a Boys and Girls 4 x 50M Freestyle Relay. There will a]so be a 200 Individual Medley, 50 and 100 Butterfly,. 50 and 100 Backstroke, 50 and 100 Breaststroke, and 50,100,200 and 400 Freestyle events.
The SSC Coaches are willing to conduct a clinic if necessary. Please contact Mike Villagomez at Kagman Elementary for further information.
