CHC hires new Ob/Gyne
The Commonwealth Health Center announced yesterday the hiring of a fulltime, US Board-certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist who will further improve the level of care to the hospital’s Ob/Gyne patients.
CHC Medical Affairs Director Dr. Martin Rohringer, MD said Dr. Christopher Bieling will begin his fulltime duty at the government hospital this week.
Dr. Bieling began his medical career in Hamburg, Germany where he completed his medical school and internship before moving to the United States.
He completed his Ob/Gyne residency at the University of Louisville, Kentucky and went on to do a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
The medical affairs director said the hiring of Dr. Bieling will result in the further improvement of the level of care provided to Ob/Gyne patients of the CHC.
SSI checks delayed
The Supplemental Security Income (SSI) checks scheduled for delivery on Feb. 1, 2001 have not arrived, according to the Social Security Administration which said it regrets the delay.
SSI recipients who have an urgent need for funds may visit the Social Security Office on the Second Floor of the Hong Kong Bank building in Puerto Rico to request an emergency payment.
The office will remain open to issue emergency payments until 3:00pm today, Feb. 8, 2001.

OES PTSA meeting
The Acting Principal of Oleai Elementary School wishes to Inform the parents and guardians that there will be a PTSA meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001, 6:00pm at the school cafeteria. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
