22 & Under Basketball League Kagman sets the sun down for San Vicente

Kagman Cougars came from behind to edge San Vicente Sunrisers 67-62 in the curtain raiser of the day during Saturday’s first game of the Basketball Association of NMI’s 22& Under League.

Rush Santos pumped in 22-points, 1 assist, 2 rebounds, and 3 steals, while teammate Ad Arriola contributed 13 points, 2 assists, 14 rebounds, and 2 steals to ensure Cougars’ victory against the Sunrisers.

Jeremy Sablan led his team with 13 points, 5 assists, 4 block shots, 17 rebounds, 1 steal. Donald Ludwig had 12 points, 7 assists, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals.

Sunrisers was ahead 19-26 at half time. Cougars however rallied in the 4th quarter to tie the game at 61-61. Thanks to Santos’ 14-foot jumper.

On the next possession Dave Palacios was fouled and was sent to the Charity Lane but was only able to convert 1-2 to give Sunrisers a 62-61 lead.

Arriola sank a 3-pointer and Santos sank another 2-pointer to give Cougars a 67-62 victory over the Sunrisers.

The game was officiated by Ruben Talens, Jess Pabula, Marlon Cabrera, Paul Elliot and Abner Venus.

The second game was also another thriller with APC Sixers coming from behind to edge Tun Kiku’s Fanihi 72-69.

John Sablan led APC Sixers with 28 points, 1 block shot, 5 rebounds, 3 steals. Dave Sablan backed up John with 23 points, 2 assists, 1 block shot, 10 rebounds, and 1 steal.
