THC holds 1st ever annual conference
Over 93 delegates from different Western Pacific offices of the Tan Holdings Corporation will converge for the first-ever THC Conference at the Hyatt Regency Saipan today.
The two-day event is bannered by the theme, “Strengthening our Commitment to Micronesia’s Growth,” and will be highlighted by best practices of THC subsidiaries and affiliates throughout the region.
The first day of the conference, March 28, will see Continental Micronesia President Bill Meehan acting as guest speaker. THC President Willie Tan will also step up to the podium to talk about THC in the New World.
It would be followed by an assessment of the THC’s performance and the presentation of highlights of its accomplishments in Micronesia. THC Executive Vice President Jerry Tan will oversee the session.
Before the conference breaks for lunch, location highlights and business opportunities on Saipan, Guam, Palau, Federated States of Micronesia, Japan and a presentation on fishing will be conducted. It will be followed by a 15-minute question-and-answer portion.
After participants had partaken of Hyatt’s sumptuous lunch, the much-awaited Best Practices by industry and company would follow. Company executive Kit Lanuza will present Baskin Robbins in Guam while Vice President for Finance Eli Arago will take charge of Saipan.
The rest of the afternoon will feature sessions on general information sharing, an ISO awareness overview, human resource plan and introduction to HR2, a SAP overview, United Principles of Social Responsibility and Practice, and presentations from THC’s Information Technology and Corporate Communications Division.
The agenda for the second day of the conference will start with a workshop and learning sessions. The GE Way will be presented by Jerry Tan while the guest speaker for the day would be Abi Adigun.
Items on the agenda for the last day of the conference include lectures on corporate values, managing customership and SAP Accounting System Management.
The two-day THC conference will be capped by a dinner reception at the venue followed by a golf tournament the next day, Friday.
