Mason group presents award, medal

Scottish Rite, an appendage body of the Masonic Fraternity, presented a certificate of recognition and a medal to Cdt 2nd Lt. Francis San Nicolas of Kagman High School, under the guidance of MSG (retired) James R. Burke, the KHS Senior Army Instructor.

The award was for scholastic excellence and demonstrated Americanism in supporting the United States as a member of the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC).

The certificate and medal came from the U.S. mainland and were sent to be locally presented by Masons on Saipan who are Scottish Rite members of the Southern Jurisdiction of USA. They are Ernest J. Strange, Danilo E. San Pedro, Victor G. Braña and Wilfredo G. Ching.
