Strikers, slicers and shankers alike are invited to come out to enjoy a round of links as Saipan Mayor’s Office is sponsoring the inaugural Mayor’s Cup this Saturday, June 12, at the Marianas Country Club Golf Course, with all proceeds going to the new Mayor’s Youth Learning Center in Chalan Kanoa District III.

The tournament gets underway with a shotgun start at noon, and players will be using the 18-hole Medal Play with the low net score taking the prize.

Players will compete in one of six flights determined by a player’s handicap in the tournament, to include Champ (00-07), “A” (08-13), “B” (14-19), “C” (20 and above), Ladies, and Seniors (age 50 and above).

There will be plenty of cash prizes for the top three finishers in each flight. The first place finishers will take home $300, the second place finishers will bag $200, and the third place finishers will take home $100.

Local rules of play apply for the tournament, and professional cardholders are not eligible to win any of the available prizes.

The entry fee for the one-day tourney will be $100. Entry forms for the tournament may be picked up at the Marianas Country Club or the Saipan Mayor’s Office. The deadline to submit the entries and fees is Saturday, June 12. Registration starts at 10:30am and continues until noon.
