With the South Pacific Mini Games drawing ever closer, athletes around the CNMI have begun to decide upon their sport of choice, and get a head start on training for the July event, while local organizations have taken on the task of selecting from the crème de la crème.

The Saipan Softball Association is no different in that respect, as they have announced that they will be holding tryouts for the Women’s Fast-Pitch Softball Team that they will be taking to Palau next summer.

According to SSA president Robert A. Guerrero, all individuals interested in earning a spot on the team will have their shot at 5:30pm Thursday, Nov. 11 on the softball field at the Oleai Sports Complex.

To be eligible, all female players must be at least 16 years of age, be willing to assist in all fundraising drives for the team, and be a United States citizen, national, or have a United States visa (for non-citizens to enter the United States).

For further information, contact SSA president Robert A. Guerrero by calling 888-0215 or 287-8093.
