Last weekend, Saipan’s student athletes with a flair for long distance running laced up their favorite sneakers and met at the CPA Airport Field to determine whom among them would qualify for the available slots in the 9-and-under, 11-and-under, 13-and-under, 18-and-under age groups for the All-School Cross Country Championships that is being held this Saturday, Nov. 13.

Now it’s the coaches’ turn to meet, as the Northern Mariana Islands Track and Field Federation’s developmental coach Elias Rangamar has called for all of the endurance driven mentors to assemble in the conference room of the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium this Wednesday, Nov. 10, to discuss the scheduling of events, rules changes, and the finer points of this weekend’s event.

With only a handful of days remaining until the stealthy students strut their stuff, attendance is mandatory, and coaches are advised to be on time, as the meeting will begin at 4pm. For more information, contact Rangamar by calling 664-2503.
