Just in time for the holidays, SaipanCell announced yesterday that it is now offering the Motorola V710 wireless phone with a camera, video camcorder, MP3 player and Bluetooth wireless technology.

The built-in camera/video camcorder is one of the most sophisticated on the market today. It features a high-resolution 1.2 megapixel camera with flash and auto timer. The camera’s auto focus with white balance means it can be used in sunny, cloudy, indoor or night environments. It comes complete with 16MB RAM, which can be expanded by simply inserting a memory card for additional photos, video clips or music files. The easy-to-use memory cards are small, so carrying extra cards is simple and convenient.

According to Kevin Seeker, director of Marketing for SaipanCell: “This is the first camera phone sold on Saipan and Guam with a fully functioning video camcorder. You can capture video clips with the phone and send them to an email address or another V710 phone. There are other wireless companies on the island selling camera phones, but you cannot send or receive photos or video with the phones. What good is a camera phone if you cannot send and receive photos?”

The Motorola V710 takes camera phones to the next level of performance offering customers the ability to shoot quality photos as well as record and play video clips. It also features an integrated MP3 player with polyphonic ringtones that defy standard conventions.

“With full polyphonic ringtones, when your phone rings, you just might wait a few seconds before answering,” Seeker said.

The phone supports SaipanCell Pix FX Picture Messaging, which allows customers to take, send and receive color photos with voice and text messages, and Web FX, an enhanced wireless Internet service featuring news, ringtones, entertainment, an online phone directory and other services.

Another unique feature of the phone is its speaker-independent digit and name dialing. The phone’s special speech recognition software allows users to make calls with simple voice prompts. In the speakerphone mode, you can make hands-free phone calls by saying the name of the person you want to call or by saying the digits of the number you want to call. The phone will automatically place the call for you.

SaipanCell is offering the Motorola V710 for $249.99 with a two-year service contract during a special holiday sale Nov. 26 and 27.

“With powerful multimedia capabilities and advanced hands-free connectivity, the Motorola V710 is one of the best phones on the market today,” said Seeker. “Whether capturing video, surfing the Web or listening to music, this sleek handset provides a superior mobile experience.”
