JET Holdings, Whatever top team awards

JET Holdings Co. and Whatever divided the spoils of the team awards of the recently concluded Adam and Eve Mixed League, which held its awards ceremony last Tuesday at the Saipan Bowling Center.
JET Holdings took the plum in the high series scratch and high game scratch categories, while Whatever kept opponents guessing in the high series with handicap and high game with handicap categories.
With a pinfall total of 2,313 JET Holdings won the high series scratch hands down and pocketed the $40 first-place cash prize. HKP & Associates finished 103 pins behind JET Holdings with 2,210 and earned $35. Third place and $30 went to Patriots after they rolled 2,103.
Only the third place team was different in the high game with scratch, as JET Holdings and HKP & Associates again took the first two places. JET Holdings wound up with 889 pinfalls and collected $35, while HKP & Associates knocked down 790 for $30. Why Worry III was in no way flustered, taking third with 739 pinfalls and took home $25.
Whatever, meanwhile, edged Like It Or Not by a single pin to win the high series with handicap, 2,486-2,485. Whatever won $40 and LION $35 for their feats. MEN & Co. was third best in the category with 2,469 and got $30.
MEN & Co. and LION exchanged places in the high game with handicap, as Whatever this time took the award running away. Whatever finished with 908 pins to take the $35 first-place purse, while MEN & Co won second with 888 and $30 and LION was third with 879 and $25.
JET Holdings is made up for top bowlers Mark “The Shark” Halstead and Jonathan Hensley, and Roger Vales, Ruby Besid, Cindy Iginoef, and Ron Cal.
Making up Whatever, meanwhile, were Lucy C. De Leon Guerrero, Eileen Schardt, Akit Cepeda, Steve Arurang, Joey Arriola, Jess Santos, and John Atalig.
The Adam and Eve Mixed League is played every Tuesday at the San Jose bowling facility. Its president is Jack Cruz, while Halstead sits as its secretary. For more information on the league, call Cruz at 235-5639 or Halstead at 234-7902.
