After taking the better part of the last year to reflect on the success of the 2004 season, the public servants who participated in last year’s Government Softball League are getting back in the swing of things, as the underhanded action of the 2005 edition is right around the corner.

According to league coordinator John Reyes, there will be a meeting this morning at 9:30am to discuss the schedules, formats, uniform requirements, and rule changes pertaining to both game play and equipment in the conference room of the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium in Oleai.

Fellow organizer Joey Dela Cruz reminds all team representatives that they need to submit their $400 entry fees at the meeting, and that only 14 teams will be permitted to participate in the league. With the tentative start date of the league scheduled for a week from the meeting, it is important that all team representatives report for the meeting.

For more information, contact either of the league coordinators Reyes or Joey Dela Cruz of the Division of Sports and Recreation by calling 664-2503/8.
