Wildcats settle half of entrance fee
The San Antonio Wildcats really want to continue what they started in the ongoing BANMI 25-and-under Basketball League.
According to BANMI official Elias Rangamar, the team paid $300 of the $600 entrance fee yesterday with the promise that the other half would be paid at the end of the week.
Rangamar himself was the one who disclosed last week that The Wildcats, along with the Garapan Rollers, Tanapag Warriors, and San Vicente Sunrisers, would not be allowed to play any more ballgames if they fail to settle their obligations to the basketball federation.
Rangamar said the three other teams also have yet to settle their payments, as well as submit the required documents for age verification. G-Rollers, Warriors, and the Sunrisers have until this Friday, April 1, to do so, according to the BANMI official.
Failure to pay the fee and provide age verification for each player will result in the team being kicked out of the league.
The Wildcats are currently ranked fourth in the league with a 2-2 win-loss card, only behind SaipanCell-NMC Hoopaholics, Toyota Prius, and Ulloa.
Team Hoops and Prius, both leading the league with perfect 4-0 records, are scheduled to clash this Friday at 6:30pm at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium while the Wildcats battle the Ghasias 7-Kings (1-3) at 8pm.
If they make their payments, the G-Rollers (1-3) and Warriors (0-3) are scheduled to square off against each other the next day at 1pm. Ulloa (3-1) will then take on the Sunrisers (0-3) at 3pm.
Teams were given the option to pay an entrance fee of $900 if they wanted BANMI to supply the uniforms and $600 if they wanted themselves to acquire their own jerseys.
