Everyone is invited to see four new tomato varieties being grown by the Northern Marianas College CREES at the Kagman Agricultural Experiment Station.

Farmers and everyone else who like to see new tomatoes should go and take a look at the new varieties today, April 13, 2005, between 9am to 11:30am.

The four new tomato varieties, which are capable of producing fruits, are being grown at the Kagman Agricultural Experiment Station, NMC Diagnostic Lab.

To get there, NMC-CREES said motorists should take the road to Kagman I and Kagman II. “Turn right into the fenced station over the bridge. The first building on the right is the NMC Diagnostic Lab. The field trial is on the left by the 20-foot container,” the agency said.

For additional directions, call Craig Smith (287-0558) or Anthony Tudela (664-5903).

NMC-CREES said the only way to judge a new tomato variety is to see it producing fruit. “If you cannot make it, then call for another appointment in April 2005,” it added. (PR)
