Thirty-seven students from Kanagawa Shoko High School in Tokyo are on the island for a three-day cultural exchange program with students of the Kagman High School.

The Japanese students are accompanied by two teachers. They arrived on the island yesterday at 2:20pm.

Pacific Development Inc. travel counselor Takeshi Okawa said the high school students will visit Kagman High School today at 8:30am. School principal Doreen Tudela is set to welcome the visiting high school students.

Kagman students will also have a presentation for the visiting Japanese students. The Kanagawa Shoko High School students will also get a taste of mwar-mwar making and island-style cooking with the Kagman High students. They will also discuss the significance of learning through personal computers.

Okawa said this is the 10th year that PDI is leading several Japanese high school delegates to the Commonwealth as part of their cultural exchange program as well as for tourism purpose.

The Japanese students will also be exposed to the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps at Kagman High School this afternoon, and a round of golf at Lao Lao Bay, also this afternoon.

Tomorrow, the visiting Japanese students will have a tour of Managaha Island for a day of fun in the sun. On Friday they will tour the island for a half-day sightseeing. They are set to leave the island on Friday afternoon.
