Have I got a treat for you! Guess what’s happening next week????! That’s right, kids, the DEQ Environmental Expo! This has got to be one of the most exciting environmental events to hit our island in a long while.

It’s a whole environmental fair, held at the Chamolinian Cultural Village on Tuesday, April 18, from 8am to 12 noon, and again at the Garapan Street Market on Thursday, April 21, from 6pm to 9pm. I mean, you wouldn’t BELIEVE all of the cool booths that are going to be there! There will be a model home with ideas for energy efficient products, a mini water quality testing setup, science fair displays, hybrid vehicles, and a rescue boat, plus many more exciting booths.

AND on Tuesday, we will host a grand Expo-Nanza, a game show with a chance to win fabulous prizes! On Thursday at 7pm the winners of the school competitions (recycling, haiku, essay, and logo design) will be honored.

So make sure to come on down and check it out. Plus, as you can see from the handy calendar, there are many other great things happening next week during DEQ’s annual Environmental Awareness Week. Here’s your special guide to all of the events, hope to see you there!
