The Toyota Tacoma scored three runs in the top of the third inning and pitcher McGregory Camacho hurled a complete game over the Mets as the pick-ups picked up a big win on Wednesday night, in an 11-3 victory at Francisco M. Palacios Baseball Field in the continuation of the 2005 Saipan Major League.

As a team, the Tacoma scored 11 runs of 15 hits, and three of them came off of the bat of second baseman Mark Cruz, who went 3-for-5 with a trio of singles, two runs batted in, and a run scored to help give Camacho plenty of breathing room.

Camacho went the distance for the trucks, allowing three runs off of 11 hits through nine innings of well pitched hardball. The youngster struck out six Metropolitan batters along the way, and was throwing heat all the way until the end.

Right fielder Tony Pangelinan had a strong game at the plate as well by knocking a pair of singles, scoring a couple of runs, driving in a the game winning run in the top of the fourth inning.

Tacoma first baseman J.J. Laniyo showed off his speed when he stole second in the fourth inning, and hit 2-for-5 with a pair of singles and a runs scored, while third baseman Wilbur Ada hit a double in three attempts, scored twice, and drove in two runs.

The Mets took an early 1-0 lead when shortstop Mike Palacios crossed the plate on an error in the first inning, but the yellow-clad squad from the south had suffered comeback losses before. They got another dose of lead swapping on Wednesday night as the Toyota nine rallied to take a 3-1 lead in the top of the third, and added three more in the fourth to increase their advantage to five runs.

The San Antonio squad managed another run in the bottom of the inning to cut the lead to 6-2, but was unable to send a base runner across home plate until Donald Manalo scored in the ninth. By that time it was two late, because the Tacoma tallied two more in the fifth, one in the sixth, and a pair on the seventh before they set the cruise control.
