Police arrested a suspected drug trafficker after the woman yielded methamphetamine hydrochloride or “ice” during a search inside her Garapan apartment.

Police charged Huang Zhao, also known as Linda, with illegal possession and trafficking of a controlled substance.

In an affidavit submitted to the Superior Court, police detective Eusebio M. Manglona said that operatives found a cut straw containing ice.

When operatives asked for the woman’s identification during the raid, she handed out her wallet, which contained marked money earlier paid by a police informant in two succeeding controlled buy operations.

After the conduct of controlled buy operations, operatives secured a search warrant from Judge David Wiseman Thursday night. Elements of the DPS’ Criminal Investigation Bureau served the search warrant on Huang’s apartment at the fourth floor of the Joy Motel in Garapan early Friday morning.

During the raid, police said the woman was with a certain Li Jun inside her apartment. The man told police that Huang did not use ice, but only sold it.
