Insurance, sobriety checkpoints on Friday

The Department of Public Safety’s Traffic will be conducting insurance and sobriety checkpoints on April 29, 2005.

The insurance checkpoint setup will be on Beach Road Susupe by the Multi-Purpose Center. This operation will start at about 7:30pm and will be terminated at 8:45pm.

The sobriety checkpoint, on the other hand, will be on 2W Chalan LaoLao by Verizon. This operation will start at 10pm and will be terminated at about 11:15pm.

Each checkpoint conducted will last at least 75 minutes (1 hour and 15 minutes) at each location.

This activity is part of the Department of Public Safety’s efforts to ensure compliance with insurance and registration requirements as mandated by Public Law 11-55; and to ensure that all vehicle occupants are protected.
