On Rep. Janet Maratita

It isn’t surprising to see Rep. Janet Maratita employ the reptilian syndrome, what with her persistent bouts of lack of focus. It’s a tale of a highly erratic and fickle minded person who can’t honor commitment and integrity.

It is surprising, though, how eagerly, if not desperately, the GOP accepted her candidacy after rejecting Heinz and Dave for lack of “loyalty.”

Interesting, too, how a former Democrat speaks of loyalty as a Republican. Eh, people can discern the truth from the apparent.

Now, there’s an old saying, “The past indicates the future.” It stands to reason that Maratita can just as easily abandon her new Republican colleagues as she did her former Covenant Party associates. Her erratic tendencies demonstrate that she never outgrew immaturity. She alludes to “people” solely as a mouthwash, convinced it is the single magical pill to shield her obvious lack of focus and integrity. Nice try!

If your claim is “for the people,” then I ask for an explanation: Who benefited from your D.C. junket? “The people” or yourself? Your proposal to end the educational tax credit program: Is it in the public interest or were you simply fancy footing for relevancy as you sink into political oblivion? Ms. Maratita, we weren’t born yesterday.

Finally, even with your new curiously yellowish color, the voters know their arithmetic: One plus one is two, NOT 22!
