Business establishments selling alcohol were reminded yesterday of deadlines for renewal of alcoholic beverage control licenses.

Commerce Secretary Andrew Salas said the Alcoholic Beverage and Tobacco Control Division will accept renewal applications, including payment of fees, until June 30, 2005.

He said all licensees whose renewal fees remain unpaid as of June 30, 2005 will automatically be suspended.

If a license remains suspended by July 31, 2005 due to unpaid renewal fees, it will automatically be revoked and the department will not issue a renewal license. Rather, a new application must be submitted for consideration by the Commerce secretary, Salas said.

Application forms may be obtained at the Alcoholic Beverage and Tobacco Division between 7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

All licensed businesses on Rota and Tinian may pick up application forms from the office of the resident Commerce Department heads in their respective islands. (Agnes E. Donato)
