My Wave students from various elementary and junior high schools enjoyed a half-day as tourists on Tuesday, May 17, 2005.

This year, the schools decided to celebrate their 3rd Annual My Wave Summit by allowing My Wave Club students to experience firsthand what it is like to be a tourist.

The schools involved in this activity were Garapan Elementary School, GTC Elementary School, Kagman Elementary School, Chacha Oceanview Junior High School and Hopwood Junior High School.

Each school was specifically assigned to a business in the tourism industry so that students would be able to get direct knowledge from a tourist’s perspective. Students were introduced to the overall operations of each business and learned the importance of the CNMI’s tourism industry. (PR)
