MEMORIAL DAY CELEBRATION TODAY
Memorial Day will be celebrated at the Veterans Memorial Park in Susupe today, May 30, 2005 at 9am. We ask that all service members on island, veterans, their families, families of veterans, the local Marine scout and the general public to come and join us celebrate this memorable day.
SR. REMEDIOS TO MARK ANNIVERSARIES
The Sr. Remedios Early CHildhood Development Center will be celebrating the 54th and 30th anniversaries of school’s foundation and as a chartered school.
“We would like to invite all alumni to celebrate with us. If you are an alumnus or have a child that is an alumni of Sr. Remedios, contact Sr. Martha at 234-6247.”
LIVE-FIRE TRAINING, AERIAL SURVEY AT FDM
The Emergency Management Office, together with the U.S Naval Forces Marianas, is informing the public that the U.S. military will be conducting live-fire and aerial survey exercises at the Farallon de Mendenilla Island.
The schedule dates and time are as follow:
• May 30, 7am–11:59pm— Live-fire training
• June 5, 7am–11:59 pm— Live-fire training
• June 10–11, 7am–9pm— Live-fire training
• June 20, 8am–1pm—Aerial survey
The location of these activities will be on the island of Farallon De Mendenilla training area from 15,000 feet mean sea level on a 10 nautical mile radius on all quadrants.
Due to the danger imposed by these activity, EMO is advising the public—especially fishermen, commercial pilots, and tour operators—to stay away from this location during the time and dates indicated.
