A woman sustained fractured ribs and other injuries after being beaten up by a man who himself reported the incident to the police.

Responding policemen arrested 35-year-old Glen Derick Palacios at his Chalan Kanoa residence Wednesday.

Palacios was then brought to the Department of Corrections for detention, according to Department of Public Safety spokesman Eric David.

David said Glen admitted that he pushed and kicked the woman while she was on the ground.

Emergency responders attended to the woman immediately after arriving at scene and later rushed her to the Commonwealth Health Center.

David said the woman sustained two fractured ribs on her left side, internal bleeding, as well as laceration and bruises on the face.
