What a deal!

A front-page story in last Saturday’s Saipan Tribune talked about the increasing requests by local businesses for CDA loans. According to the story, CDA has recently received a total of 15 loan applications with many others expressing interest in asking CDA for loans for start up capital, working capital, inventory, payroll, etc.

Apparently, they have heard that CDA has lifted the moratorium on loans. It appears they have also apparently heard of attempts by the Legislature to pass legislation that would essentially absolve delinquent CDA borrowers of all late fees and interests. And they now want in on the CDA gravy train, too. Maybe they, too, hope to become delinquent CDA borrowers five years down the road.
What a deal!
