DST is a good idea

To Kathryn Barry I think instituting daylight saving time is a good idea. If we get up and go to work or school at dawn, no lights are required. When we come home we have daylight until shortly before it’s time to go to bed and no lights are required. Good idea. Some other ideas. Open all classrooms and government offices so no air conditioning is required. For those areas where equipment needs a/c keep it. There was no a/c on Saipan in 1963 and I and my students survived quite nicely. We have the most beautiful year-round climate of any place in the world. Why must we make our indoor time artificially cold. My kids wear jackets to school to keep warm. That’s nonsense. Look at the secretaries in our government offices and you see most of them wearing jackets or sweaters. Again ridiculous.
