SAIWAI continues forward
Just a little over a week after promoting fitness during the 4th Annual Foundation and Family Day Walk along the Saipan Beach Pathway, the Saipan Walking Association is continuing to benefit the community by hosting an outing for some of Saipan’s special athletes.
In just two days from now, SAIWAI will be hosting an international Flying Disk (Frisbee) Golf Tournament at the American Memorial Park between competitors from Japan and the CNMI on Monday, Aug. 29.
The high-flying fun gets underway at 8:30am when close to 100 disabled participants will experience the joy of sport on the site of the Flame Tree Festival.
SAIWAI does not get funding and relies solely on the donations and solicitations from private companies. IVV members received credit for joining the event. The IVV has member-walking clubs in the U.S., Canada, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, Turkey, Nepal, Australia, New Zealand, the CNMI and 29 other European countries.
SAIWAI was incorporated as a non-profit corporation on July 27, 2001 and was established to promote public health through non-competitive walking.
