Carmen Safeway Supermarket, the only one of its kind in the CNMI with a U.S.D.A.-approved meat-cutting facility, and bakeshop, will be launching a promotional event that will give customers more value for their money.

The Rewards Savings Value Plan, or RSVP, allows a customer to earn points for every $10 purchase, and a discount once the 10 slots on the RSVP card are completed.

The RSVP promo will kick off on Friday, Sept. 2, 2005 from 4pm to 6pm at Carmen Safeway Supermarket in Chalan Kanoa.

“We are really very excited about this,” said Frances L.G. Borja, president of Carmen Safeway Enterprises. “It’s our way of helping the community during these lean economic times.”

Borja said they will be having popcorns, balloons, giveaways and free Asahi beer tasting on Friday, while free food sampling starts at 10am on Saturday, Sept. 3, 3005.

Customers will also be given coupons for every $20 purchase to be raffled on Labor Day, Sept. 5, 2005 at 4pm. The winner will get a $100 shopping spree at Carmen Safeway Supermarket.

“Head down to Carmen Safeway Supermarket this Labor Day weekend and have more value for your money, and lots of fun, too,” said Borja.

Carmen Safeway Supermarket is the only place in the CNMI that has a U.S.D.A.-approved in-store meat-cutting facility. An inspector from U.S.D.A. regularly goes to the facility to monitor activities. The supermarket also has to comply with U.S. standards like temperature control, handling control and hazard plan.

“Our customers are assured of the best quality meat through our U.S.D.A. approved facility,” said Borja.

The bake shop, for its part, is known for the best French bread on island, with several hotels and restaurants getting their supply from there.
