KHS senior class seeks assistance
The Kagman High School senior class is seeking the community’s assistance to help them raise funds for their school activities and educational trips this school year.
Senior class president Francine M. Santos said her class is currently holding several activities that included the recently held fundraising dance at the G.I.G. Discotheque last Aug. 19. The party at the premier discotheque was partly presented by G.I.G., which allowed the high school students to use the venue for three hours. G.I.G. manager Frederick Santos said the club was honored to extend a helping hand to the high school students.
The shindig at the G.I.G. drew at least 100 students who paid $10 as entrance fee.
“We’re still looking for any donations and we are asking for your help,” said Francine M. Santos, who added that her class would have more fundraising activities in the future to support their cause.
Francine M. Santos said this year’s senior class aims to raise more money to help them finance their school activities, which includes off island exposure trips. They also intend to support their fellow seniors who are joining competitions since, she said, most competitions are held either in the U.S. mainland, Guam, or Australia.
The KHS senior class advisers who are helping the students in their fundraising activities are Ana Yamada, Carla Torres, Roselyn Ajoste and Francis San Nicolas. Kagman High School is one of the high schools that had been victimized by burglary last summer. Until now the burnt down room has not been repaired and some classes are held either at the library or at the school cafeteria.
