Shooters meeting postponed

The top bankers and breakers were cued to assemble at Shooter’s Sports Bar for the Budweiser-Bud Light Billiard League captain’s meeting last night, but Typhoon Nabi officially called for a re-rack.

All team captains looking for a chance at the perpetual trophy and cash have an extra week before next week’s meeting at the recently opened Shooters—located behind Saipan Gold Beach Hotel on Beach Road, on Wednesday, Sept. 7, at 8pm.

The tables at the new facility first saw action during the awards banquet tournament when all of the teams went head-to-head in the showdown before the chow down. There will be more of the same next time around, but the number of entrants is still up in the air.

League co-coordinator Kim Prinz said that while she’s not sure how many teams will show, she is hoping for at least 12 to allow for both an “A” and “B” division, but said that all depends on the amount of 8-ball heroes that step up to the felt.
