The Social Security Administration announced the promotion of Bridgette Camacho to district manager of the Saipan office effective in early October.

Camacho, born and raised in Saipan, graduated from Mount Carmel High School in 1984 and began her public service career as the Delta Input Technician for the former Northern Mariana Islands Social Security System.

In January 1987, the NMI Social Security System merged with the United States Social Security Administration and Camacho was hired as a Data Transcriber. She has worked as a service representative and claims representative and has served as an operations supervisor and officer-in-charge in the Saipan office, which service the islands of Saipan, Rota, and Tinian in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.

One of her first decisions as district manager was to extend office hours in an effort to better serve the public. Therefore, effective Monday, Sept. 26, the office will be open from 8am to 12pm and 1:30pm to 3pm, Monday through Friday. (PR)
