Da Terminators maintained its lofty place at the top but now shares it with USSP Fotten Palau as the second week of the Budweiser SBA Open 8-Ball League unfolded Tuesday night in four separate venues on Saipan.

Playing at home this time around, Da Terminators gave VFW Leaders a 5-1 beating at Da Place Sports Bar to up its total in the win-loss column to 10-2.

Sure shots Roman Rodriguez, Senen Pangilinan, and R.J. Mascarinas each won their singles matches, while the twosomes of Jojo Talibong and Luis Fajardo and Pangilinan and Frank Pangelinan took care of business in the two doubles. Da Terminators’ only loss was when Shawn White upset Fajardo in the singles. White’s win gave VFW Leaders a 2-10 tally in the overall standings.

Fotten Palau kept pace with Da Terminators (10-2) when it annihilated sister team Fotten Gaga (5-7) in a score of 5-1 at USS Peleliu Club. Gary Orpiano, R.E. Rengiil, Mei Rengiil, Marvin Bauchelong, and the pair of R.E. Rengiil and Bauchelong accounted for Fotten Palau’s five wins, while its lone loss came when Fotten Gaga’s Ace Elameto and Chris Clarson defeated Fotten Palau’s John Mongami and Edward Suzuki.

Round Two Hustlers (8-4) is the only other team with a winning record outside of Da Terminators and Fotten Palau. It currently is in solo third place following its 4-2 conquest of VFW What Doing (4-8) at VFW Post 3457.

Ike Celis, Rowell Mariano, Joey Lucido, and the doubles pair of Celis and Mariano led the way for Round Two, while both wins of VFW What Doing came courtesy of Diamond Aldan, who beat Nolan Cultura in the singles and then teamed up with Roger Madriaga to defeat Lucido and Cultura in the doubles.

Bud’s Killaz (4-8) was not able to capitalize playing at home for a second straight week when it only managed to tie Jewel Night Shooters (5-7) at Bud’s Bar.

Bud’s Killaz’s Henry Sasaki won his singles match then teamed with Bill Villagomez to win in the doubles. Peter Pereda and Cristy Noche notched the other doubles win for the home team. Jewel Night Shooters’ three victories were all in singles as Mel Valiente, Joey Pacheco, and Ariel Orijuela acquitted themselves well against Bud’s Killaz’s singles players.
