Things you need to bring:
Picture ID, pen/pencil
Calculator (Optional. May not be shared)

Acceptable Picture ID’S (NO ID – NO TEST)
NMC Picture ID (needed to be entered into the system)
Driver’s License
Passport
Other school picture ID
CNMI Immigration Card

No reservations. First come, first served basis only. Limited seats available. No admittance to the testing room will be allowed after the starting time listed above. Math placement slips are good for one year from test date and a placement test can only be taken once a year.

ENGLISH PLACEMENT TESTS SET

The following is the schedule of the upcoming English Placement Tests at the Northern Marianas College:

SPRING SEMESTER 2006
Wednesday, Jan. 4: Room D-1, 1pm – 4pm
Friday, Jan. 6, 2006: Room D-1, 5pm – 8 pm

SUMMER SEMESTER 2006
Wednesday, April 5, 2006: Room D-1, 1pm – 4pm
Friday, April 7, 2006: Room D-1, 5pm – 8pm
Things to bring include a valid photo ID and pencils.

There is a $25 fee for the English Placement Test that must be paid in advance at NMC’s Finance Office (Monday-Friday, 9am – 4pm). Students will not be admitted to the testing room without proof of payment-a receipt for either the placement test fee or the NMC application fee. This $25 fee is applicable to the NMC application for all students.

HOPWOOD EVENTS IN NOVEMBER

– Hopwood Junior High School will run out of 2005-06 student data portfolios (handbooks) that it uses for home-school communication. Hopwood has a limited number of 2004-05 handbooks available as a substitute, but those who want to get them are advised that the policies, procedures, and calendar dates may be slightly different in last year’s handbook. If anyone has any questions or needs clarification on any current information, call the school at 664-5075. A nominal replacement fee of $1 will be charged for each replacement handbook.

– On Nov. 27, Sunday, vice principal Gagaring will be organizing a community workday on Hopwood’s campus. Students are requested to bring their entire family and any tools and/or gardening equipment you may have. The affair is a potluck, barbeque, and work together affair. Call 664-5003 to volunteer or to sign up to bring potluck items.

SAIPAN SOUTHERN MAKEUP DAYS

Saipan Southern High School would be holding make-up classes for days missed due to Typhoon Nabi on Dec. 22, Thursday, and Dec. 23, Friday. The make-up days will be regular hours from 8am to 3pm. For more information about the make-up days, call SSHS at 664-4000.

DANDAN ELEMENTARY ACTIVITIES

The Tottot family would like to remind the entire Dandan Elementary School Community of the following important dates to remember and school activities for the month of October:

* Dec. 22 and 23: Make up days for Typhoon Nabi.

* DES Physical Fitness Program: every Friday from 1:45pm to 2:30pm at the school baseball field.

Tinian Jr./Sr. High School will make up the instructional days missed on the following dates:

Saturday Academy starts at 8am through noon. Breakfast, snacks and lunch will be served.
