The Attorney General’s Office has filed charges against a woman who was arrested for selling methamphetamine or “ice” at her motel room in San Jose.

Chief Prosecutor Jeffrey Moots filed an information charging Chen Yan, alias Amy, with trafficking of a controlled substance.

The Superior Court had imposed a $30,000 cash bail for the temporary liberty of the 31-year-old Chen.

According to court documents, a confidential source of the Department of Public Safety’s Special Investigation Section was able to purchase “ice” from Chen at her bedroom at San Jose Motel on Nov. 21, 2005.

Police officers with the assistance from agents of the Division of Customs Division Unit then raided Chen’s room on the same day pursuant to a search warrant. (Ferdie dela Torre)
