The Marianas High School Thespian Troupe #5374 presents “The Saga of Sneaky Fitch-A Farcical Tragedy” for the whole family in three acts by James L. Rosenberg.

The production will be presented Friday, Dec. 9, and Saturday, Dec. 10, at 7:30 pm in the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe.

This production features members of the Marianas High School Thespian Troupe, and a guest artist from Saipan Southern High School Troupe #6394. The production has been directed, stage designed, and performed by these students.

The production is a pure parody of the West. Well-known western characters are all prepared to act out the time honored “Code Of The West” as presented in old western movies and dime novels when something unexpected happens.

One of the characters refuses to go along. The contagion spreads. The dance hall girl proves faithless, the gunman turns coward and the town of Gopher Gulch is shaken right down to its stirrups, and the “Code Of The West” is set to crumble in the dust.

All funds generated by this production will be used by the Thespian Troupe to help support CNMI students whose college or university goal is to take up communications or the dramatic Arts.

Specifically, the funds will be donated to the Thespian Chapter Scholarship Fund to match funds from the International Thespian Society. This year, scholarships were received by Jennifer Jang, an MHS graduate attending the University of Wyoming, and Rose Wakit, a SSHS graduate attending St. Louis University.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and may be purchased at the door. (PR)
