Briefing for new Labor procedures today

The Division of Labor is inviting businesses to attend a presentation detailing the new procedures required for hiring Chinese nonresident workers to work in the industries of farming, housework, construction, restaurant, and garment subcontracting, which includes trimming shops, embroidery shops, and etc.

These procedures are already in place for garment manufacturers, and they will continue to apply to that industry. The briefing will be held today, Dec. 9, 1:30pm at the hearing office and will last approximately 30-45 minutes depending on the amount of follow-up questions.

Second sessions will also be conducted next week Friday, Dec. 16, 1:30pm.
