Models give away Power99, The Rock stickers along Beach Road
Ladies clad in skimpy colorful shirts and in sun visors caused a stir in traffic along Beach Road Friday morning as they stalled commuters to give away stickers of Power99 and The Rock radio stations.
Station manager Tina Palacios in an equally attractive outfit led her staff and guests in its first “Station Client Promotion.”
She said they chose the busy Beach Road to promote further the “premier” radio stations in the CNMI. DJ Dice and DJ Big Boi were also present during the promo event.
Palacios said it’s their first time to conduct the road promotion this year headquartered at the 13 Fishermen Utt.
“This is just something that we want to give back to the community for their continued support to the stations,” she said.
Due to the warm response of the CNMI commuters, Palacios said there would more “Station Client Promotions” along the roads of Saipan.
The radio station gave away car bumper stickers, Pepsi products and hotdog sandwiches to the commuters and passers by. Pacific Trading Co. provided the free “Pepsi Fire and Ice” while Triple J Wholesale provided the hotdog sandwiches. The event was simulcast live on both Power99 and The Rock. The group started at 11am and finished at 2pm.
Currently, Power99 has eight resident disc jockeys, while The Rock has only two DJs at hand. Palacios said she is grateful for the CNMI community for tuning into both radio stations, the past 13 years for Power99, and the past four and a half years for The Rock.
